Molybdenum electrode is a transition metal molybdenum as the main raw material of the electrode, English name for molybdenum electrode, molybdenum content of more than 99.95%, with pure metal molybdenum is extremely similar to the physical and chemical properties, the diameter is generally between 20mm-152.4mm, the length can reach 1500mm. It is worth mentioning that there is a big difference between molybdenum electrode and tungsten electrode in terms of shape and use.
Molybdenum rod is a kind of material with a variety of excellent physical and chemical properties. Its chemical element symbol is Mo and its atomic number is 42, which is a gray transition metal. Molybdenum rods can be divided into forged molybdenum rods and polished molybdenum rods. The surface of forged molybdenum rods is allowed to have oxidation and slight forging marks, while the surface of polished molybdenum rods is metallic luster without significant oxidation.
Molybdenum sheets are widely accepted and used as furnace interiors, heating, insulating screens, electronics, electronic vacuum lighting, industrial light sources, heat screens, etc.
Molybdenum is hard and soft, and is tougher than tungsten. Molybdenum has a high elastic modulus, tungsten, and tantalum only have a higher melting point. Molybdenum plates are used in many special steels. Some other common uses are molybdenum electrodes, vacuum furnace applications, nuclear energy, missiles and aircraft components.
